Dragon Mist Isles
1131-Since the War of Nations, it is now more common to find people from the Dragon Mist Isles on the mainland of Nevermore-mostly thanks to the efforts of Kao-Tsu, who made his life’s mission after the war to create dojos for martial arts throughout the lands. The dojos are often associated with the “Gold Dragon”, a mythical god like creature who promotes peace and harmony, or the “Red Dragon”, another mythical creature who is said to the be world’s destroyer. Although the “Gold Dragon” and the “Red Dragon” do not have known physical forms, the people who follow their ideologies are often fanatical in devotion and have great organization within their guilds. The people of the DMI have spread out and now it is a common sight for the major cities to have a small section of Dragon Mist people in their populous. Directly after the war, the DMI became a much more welcoming and open society. However, as of recent events of the past 3 years, the Isles themselves have shut their doors to ALL commerce, foreign trades, and travel. It is unknown WHY this change of policy has occurred.
1081-These mysterious islands are located far to the east coast of the NightmareScape. The Dragon Mist Isles are known for their Asian culture and their isolationist politics. Every island does not have a king, but an elected prefect who dictates the law, and relies on his personal guard of samuri to uphold his mandates. The largest island in the chain is Tenbu which houses the beautiful capital city of Jai Ping. The northernmost area is Shimo-Kita, most noted for the tallest point in Nevermore, [[Mt. Oso-Rezan]] . Each major island has their own giant samuri collossus guarding the port entrance. One of the main threats to the Dragon Mist Isles are pirates, who are not tolerated in any manner and often executed on sight. It is very rare to find anyone from the isles on the mainland of Nevermore.
